Hokie Bugfest

Hokie Bugfest is an annual event hosted by the Virginia Tech Entomology Department. Families from around Blacksburg come to campus on a Saturday afternoon to learn about disease spreading insect, pollinators, and plants. There was even a possum ambassador there this year!

We make an appearance at Hokie Bugfest every year! We partner with a tick lab to teach kids about how insects can spread diseases. We always bring mosquito pupae for everyone to look at with a magnifying glass. Those are a hit!
