Flip the Fair

Flip the Fair is an annual event that originally began as a Global Change Center IGEP Capstone project. “Flipping” the traditional science fair format, grad students make tri-fold posters about their research and are judged by groups of 5th graders from Roanoke-area public schools!

My poster was about fly poison flowers, which attract and kill invasive mosquitoes. The kids loved the mosquitoes I brought.
The libary displayed our favorite books from when we were kids. I got my copy of "What If?" when I was 12 years old and I quickly became an XKCD fan.
