Belview Elementary STEM Night

The Biochemistry Department has monthly outreach events. This month, 4 of us travelled to Belview Elementary in Radford, VA for STEM night.

We asked the particiapnts to think about the scientific method when making slime. To my delight, many of them already knew how the scientific method worked! The kids made “educated guesses” about what the addition of certain ingredients would do to their slime and then tested their hypotheses.
